- Logon to www.yahoo.com.
- Enter the word PuTTY into search area.
- From the search results page select (by double clicking) the web page titled PuTTY: a free telnet/ssh client.
- Click “Download” (at top of the web page).
- Scroll down to – “For Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP on Intel x86”. Click on first choice “putty.exe”.
- Click on Save --- Save program on your desktop filename: putty.exe
- Close the web page and your internet browser window.
- Open the PuTTy program by double clicking on the Putty icon (two computers connected by a lightning bolt) found on your desktop.
- The PuTTY configuration screen will appear. You will need to configure your session, window, and connection (including Data and SSH).
- Configure your session by selecting (clicking) Session in the Category section found on the left side of the screen. On the right side of the screen under Host Name (or IP address) type in lowercase adc.coop. Set the Port to 22. Select the SSH Protocol.
- Configure your window by selecting (clicking) Window in the Category section found on the left side of the screen. On the right side of the screen under When window is resized: and select change size of font.
- Configure your data connection settings by selecting (clicking) Connection in the Category section found on the left side of the screen, followed by clicking on the Data option below. On the right side of screen in the Login details section under Auto-login username, type in capital letters: DEALER.
- Configure the SSH connection settings by selecting (clicking) Connection in the Category section found on the left side of the screen, followed by clicking on the SSH option below. On the right side of the screen in the Preferred SSH protocol version select 2.
- After setting the session, window and connection settings, click on Session in the Category section found on the left side of the screen. On the right side of the screen in the Load, save or delete a stored session window, in the Saved Sessions block type in dealer and click the Save button.
- To set up the BACKUP Putty session “DEALER2”, please follow these 3 steps: First, under default setting, highlight DEALER and click the LOAD button. Second, change the hostname from adc.coop to adcnet.net. Third, in the Saved Sessions section change DEALER to DEALER2 then click the SAVE button.

GENERAL USE OF PuTTY
- Double click on Putty icon on your desktop.
- Double click on dealer or dealer2
- Please note the first time you do this you will get a security alert. Say yes.
- When asked for a password type in: ADC (in caps)
- Username is SERVICE
- Password is COUNTS
- Enter individual store password at prompt.
HOW TO PRINT FROM PuTTY
- Go to start / program / accessory / notepad
- Have both notepad & PuTTY/ADC screen open
- Highlight the text on PuTTY/ADC screen (auto paste to clipboard if needed)
- Open Notepad – right click – paste- then print.
IMPORTANT POINTS
- This is not a 24/7 system. It is a modem substitute.

6:30 AM – 6:30 PM Sat
11:00 AM – 5:30 PM Sun
- There are only 16 lines. So only 16 dealers could logon at a time.
- If you do not logoff properly, the next user can come in at the middle of what you were doing
(for example: entering an order). Please logoff properly by typing “BYE” at the user prompt.
